Dr. med. Paul Gilliéron
After obtaining his medical degree in 2017 from the University of Lausanne, Dr. med. Gilliéron completed several years of postgraduate training in French-speaking Switzerland before joining the French-speaking Swiss orthopedic surgery training network. He then continued his training for three years as a resident physician at CHUV, where he notably completed a rotation within the foot and ankle surgery team.
In 2022, he was appointed Associate Senior Physician at Hôpital Riviera-Chablais, further strengthening his experience in general orthopedics and traumatology. That same year, he completed a travelling fellowship in Switzerland, which gave him the opportunity to observe nationally and internationally renowned foot and ankle surgeons.
In 2024, Dr. med. Gilliéron returned to CHUV as an Associate Senior Physician in traumatology. In June 2025, with the aim of further refining his expertise in foot and ankle surgery, he left French-speaking Switzerland to join the University Hospital of Basel as a Senior Physician. In December 2025, he also began a 50% position at Mein Fusszentrum AG, alongside his hospital appointment.
Dr. med. Gilliéron holds a Doctor of Medicine degree and has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals, mainly in the field of foot and ankle surgery.
